Joe Taylforth joins the Farm & Environment Team

Mitchells Farm & Environment Team are pleased to announce the appointment of Joe Taylforth (pictured here with Sandy Brown, Head of the Farm & Environment Team) as a Farm & Environment Consultant. Joe is Cumbrian born and passionate about looking after our local farms, communities and landscapes.

Joe has recently joined Mitchells Farm & Environmental Advisory after 7 years of working with farmers and landowners in the Scottish Borders and Northumberland at Tweed Forum. Over that time, he has worked on many projects including river restoration, wetland projects, native woodland creation, agri-environment schemes, invasive non-native species and natural flood management.

At Mitchell’s, Joe will be applying his technical skills and project management experience to deliver high quality Countryside Stewardship Higher Tier Schemes that deliver for both the farm and the environment. Joe will also be keeping abreast of the Biodiversity Net Gain, Nutrient Neutrality and Carbon markets.
